-Its All in the Kernels: We use MUSHROOM kernels. They come out light and fluffy, and contribute a great flavor quality and appearance to our product.

-Unique Flavors and Packaging: Our flavor selections range from sweet, savory, to spicy. Mixed with Hawaiian known ingredients such as Li Hing Mui, Macadamia Nuts, island chocolates and candy’s, all tossed in Hawaiian sea salt. Do you have a special occasion coming up? We can definitely help! Check out our Packaging gallery to see all our creative and eye catching options to cover your next keiki, graduation, birthday, or holiday events. Our packaging ranges from large size center pieces to small give away type items.

-Made On Site: Find us at our selective weekly markets and year round events popping fresh on site! Witness the site, smell, and hearing, we are making kettle corn in front of you. See us work the machine, adding and popping kernels, sifting and shuffling fresh popped kettle corn in our sifting table, and then immediately package it for sale. If you have a request to customize your bag of popcorn, we will do the best to our ability to accommodate.

-Pricing: The more you buy, the more you save. Our pricing is affixed to offer various discounts when you buy from us, weather it be at our market, an event, or through a personal order. We also offer senior and student discounts as well as punch cards to our customers.

About the Owner

Brandon Villanueva

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, I’ve always had an interest in the Culinary field.

Chicago itself offers a vast variety of culinary exposure, and I was fortunate enough to have experienced it in its local cafes and trendy downtown restaurants. After working in the culinary atmosphere, I felt I wanted to push myself to the next level by joining the U.S. Navy and becoming a Culinary Specialist.

During my military service, I had the advantage to work under countless supervisors and take the reigns of some of the most arduous roles in its commercial food service environment, from a basic cook to General Manager. This impacted and honed my abilities in production, leadership, and versatility. My career was highly spent in Yokosuka & Sasebo, Japan, serving aboard 2 navy warships and 3 assault ships, where I also completed my degree in Supervision and Management.

My latest tour ended here in Oahu, where I found myself wanting to go to the next level, Entrepreneurship. My real passion was to have my own business to and put my knowledge and skills to the test, leading me to create my first independent business, “Ono Kettle Pop.” Even before opening, I simply assumed this was going to be a kind of part time job for myself. But as it turned out, I found a high demand for a on site cooking kettle corn vendor, that I was just motivated to keep pushing the business to the max.

Through a lot of attention to detail and much trial and error, I have been successful enough to established my business in weekly farmers markets and repetitive annual events. I truly enjoy what I do and contently remain motivated to better the business because of the positive reactions from my customers.

I currently reside in Honolulu, where I still serve in the Air Force Reserves at Hickam Air Force Base. I do enjoy enjoy cooking, baking, and cake decorating. I have always been a fan of making everything by hand and from scratch, which to me is the best way to know your food. In my downtime, I also enjoy hikes, beach fun, and am a nerd for Salsa Dancing. Great chance you will find me at any Latin dancing event here in Oahu!
